National Cricket School Competitions
The New Zealand Post Cup and Shield
The New Zealand Post Cup and Shield is a national school’s cricket competition for primary and intermediate boys and girls. (Year 7 and Year 8 Students)
The preliminary rounds in each of the competitions are played within the six Major Associations on a knockout or round robin basis and are completed by term one of the school year.
NZ Post Cup (Boys) - NZ Post Shield (Girls)
NZCT Junior Secondary School Boys
The NZCT Junior Secondary School Boys commences in the fourth term of the school year and concludes with a national tournament for six teams during the summer tournament week in March of the following year.
It's open to all Year 9 students for the first stage of the competition (from October to December) and Year 9 and 10 students for the second stage of the competition (from January to March).
NZCT Secondary School Girls
The NZCT Secondary School Girls competition is a limited overs knockout competition for secondary school girls.
Secondary School Boys' First XI Cup
The Secondary School Boys' First XI Cup has become synonymous with secondary school boys' cricket and the development of our players for the future
Preliminary rounds are played within the Major Associations on a knockout format. The Cup Finals are played in round robin format at the New Zealand Cricket High Performance facilities in Lincoln, Christchurch.
