BC 1st XI win WBOPCA High School Competition

3 Apr 2017

BC 1st X1 were in the final of the college 1st Division and won it yesterday 1 April.

BC batted first and got 129 all out in the 41st over then bowled and got Otumoetai Cadets all out for 106 in the 31st over so was great to see the boys win the competition.

Our total of 129 runs was disappointing to start however Jonathan McLeay hung in there and managed to score 27 runs being our highest score for the innings .Quinn Silcock also got 21 runs which we certainly needed.

Our boys went on to bowl and with Cameron Riley taking 6 wickets , Luke Eliffee taking 3 wickets and Jonathan McLeay taking a wicket we were able to get Otumoetai all out for 106. Jayden Reid took a good catch to get the final wicket that Luke bowled.

Congratulations to BC 1st XI for winning the WBOPC 1st Division Competition.
